Feijoa Cake

We had a bag of feijoa's from our school tree so we decided to use the
Cool Kids Kitchen and get baking.
Mrs Blair talked to Anna from Room 4 and asked for their feijoa cake recipe.

We scooped out the feijoa flesh and measured out all our ingredients, mixing them in a bowl and then pouring them in a big paper lined cake tin.

If you would like to try making them at home we have added the recipe in our post. Ask someone at home to help you.

Feijoa Muffin Recipe

4 feijoas or 1 banana mashed
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
100g butter, melted
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups feijoas, peeled and diced

In a bowl combine mashed fruit, sugar, eggs, milk, butter
and baking soda, mix well. In another bowl sift the flour and
baking powder, make a well in the centre, pour in the liquid
and mix gently, add the feijoas and mix until just combined.

Pour into prepared muffin tins. Bake at 220 C for 12-15
minutes.
