Room 11 studied tukutuku panels for our maths unit on tessellations. We researched the history about several tukutuku panels and what they smbolised.
Patikitiki - is symbolic of the flounder
Poutama - is symbolic for the stairway to heaven
Niho Taniwha - is symbolic for the teeth of a monster.
Roimata - is symbolic for the albatross tears.
